Description and application
The SHW series winches are built particularly robustly: the frame is in thick electrowelded steel plate and the drum is made from thick mechanical tube. The drum houses the planetary gearbox and the bearing support inside it. Torque is transmitted by a hydraulic piston motor flanged directly to the gearbox. That configuration is what makes the winches so compact.
