Description and application
The SW series centrifugal pumps for abrasive slurries are the best available for moving mud loaded with sand and with highly abrasive particles on a drilling site. They are very robust, lined with wear-resistant rubber armour, with a closed-vane impeller in high-chromium steel of at least 800 HB guaranteed hardness. Sealing is a combined system: a packing gland for the static seal, plus a dynamic seal formed by a second impeller that creates a depression on the shaft side. The shaft support runs on oversized tapered roller bearings for long life. Maintenance is minimal, and in any case the pump can be opened in a few minutes. The pumps combine high efficiency with high flow and head.
Service life is at least 20 to 30 times that of a conventional pump.
